Mumbai: Indian women’s hockey team became the first-ever team from the country to make it to the semi-finals of the Olympics on Monday. A historic and proud moment for all the Indians as our girls defeated the Australians 1-0. For the very first time in the history of the Olympics, both men and women hockey teams of India have entered the semi-finals.
After this historic win, many known personalities from the film industry have been congratulating the team and the country for this great achievement. Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan is one of the proud citizens of India who congratulated the team on his social media. However, SRK’s congratulatory tweet for team Indian women’s hockey team and the coach has a ‘Chak De India’ connection to it.
Shah Rukh Khan retweeted a picture of the Indian women hockey team with their coach Sjoerd Marijne and wrote, “Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back….for a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan.”
The original tweet from the coach of Indian women’s hockey team read, “Sorry family , I coming again later”.
Sjoerd Marijne replied to the ‘Pathaan’ actor’s tweet and wrote, “Thank you for all the support and love. We will give everything again. From: The Real Coach.”
Meanwhile, speaking on the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen featuring in a lead role in the upcoming movie ‘Pathan’. The movie will also feature Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Reportedly, 'Pathan' will also witness a cameo of Salman Khan.
