'Kuberaa' Box Office Collection Day 2: Dhanush and Nagarjuna’s Telugu film 'Kuberaa' is turning into a box office success story. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the multilingual crime drama, which opened in theatres on June 20, has crossed the ₹30 crore mark in India and is gaining momentum as strong word-of-mouth drives weekend collections.
As per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Kuberaa' earned ₹16 crore on Saturday (June 22), following a ₹14.75 crore haul on its opening day. This brings the film’s total net collection in India to ₹30.75 crore in just two days. While the movie had a slightly underwhelming start despite positive reviews, Saturday’s jump suggests growing audience interest, especially in the Telugu-speaking regions.
The Telugu version, in particular, is driving the film’s performance, registering a healthy 66.19% occupancy rate on Saturday. While the Tamil version has shown moderate numbers, the Telugu audience appears to have fully embraced Dhanush's transformation into the mysterious beggar-turned-hero, Deva.
Released in five languages, Telugu (original), Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, 'Kuberaa' is facing stiff competition in the Hindi market from Aamir Khan’s comeback film 'Sitaare Zameen Par', which has already raked in over ₹32 crore in two days. All eyes are now on how 'Kuberaa' performs through its debut weekend and beyond.
'Kuberaa' Global Collection
Internationally, 'Kuberaa' has also opened to a strong response. On day one itself, the film grossed ₹27.5 crore globally, and it has already surpassed the $1.2 million mark in North America, a key market for Indian cinema.
Trade analysts expect the film to witness further gains on Sunday and maintain steady momentum during the weekdays.

'Kuberaa' Storyline and Cast
The film tells the story of Deva (Dhanush), a beggar who crosses paths with former CBI officer Deepak Tej (Nagarjuna), leading to a life-changing encounter. The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna as Sameera, a woman stranded in Mumbai, and Jim Sarbh as Neeraj Mitra, the corrupt CEO of a rich corporation.
With its engaging storyline and strong performances, 'Kuberaa' is poised for further growth in the coming days. Will it be able to sustain its momentum and emerge as a box office success? Only time will tell.
