New Delhi: Keerthy Suresh starrer 'Raghu Thatha' is all set for its release in August 2024. Interestingly, Suresh's film will be clashing with 'Pushpa 2', which is also set for a release on August 15, 2024. Keerthy Suresh shared the announcement on her official social media handle.


Keerthy Suresh announces Raghu Thatha release


Directed by Suman Kumar, who is making his directorial debut with 'Raghu Thatha', the film will have Keerthy Suresh play the lead role in it. 


Taking to her official Twitter handle, Keerthy Suresh shared posters of her upcoming film and wrote, "#RaghuThatha, Kayalvizhi’s heart-warming adventure is coming to theatres near you. Get ready for a hilarious, emotional and empowering rollercoaster ride! #RaghuThatha releases on 15th August 2024! Can’t wait for you guys to watch this! 🤗❤️."

Soon after Keerthy Suresh shared the news, fans shared their anticipation about the film. While many wondered about why the 'epic clash' some pointed out that it was Hombale Films behind 'Raghu Thatha', so something major is in the pipeline.

About Raghu Thatha


'Raghu Thatha' will be clashing with the pan-India release of 'Pushpa 2' starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead. 


Filmmaker Suman Kumar, who is making his directorial debut with the film, has co-written Prime Video's hit series 'The Family Man' and 'Guns & Gulaab'. 


'Raghu Thatha' also stars MS Bhaskar, Ravindra Vijay, Anandsami, Jayakumar, Rajesh Balachandira, Rajeev Ravindranath, Devadarshini, Ismath Banu and others. The film's music has been compsoed by Sean Roldan.


The film follows a hilarious story of a rebellious young woman, Kayalvizhi, forced to choose between principle and patriarchy.


With cinematography by Yamini Yagnamurthy, and editing by TS Suresh, the film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, which also marks the production house' maiden Tamil production.
