Tamil composer and actor GV Prakash Kumar and his wife and singer Saindhavi recently announced separation after almost eleven years of marriage. After the announcement, speculations about the reason for their split started and there were rumours that GV Prakash’s infidelity was the reason behind the separation. The composer has now addressed the trolling and insensitive comments he has faced. He released a statement in Tamil stating that their decision to part ways was mutual and urged for privacy during this challenging time.
GV Prakash reacts to trolling
He wrote, “It is unacceptable to get into the private affairs of people and discuss them with crass remarks just because they are celebrities. Have the virtues of Tamilians stooped so low that we can’t realise such imaginary narratives on social media will affect the individual concerned? The reasons behind our mutual separation are known to my close friends and relatives. While I understand that such public discussion and criticism are because of the interest in my life, I am making this statement because I know it will affect the individual involved (in the speculations). Please respect the individual’s feelings. Thanks for your love and support,”
GV Prakash and Saindhavi married in a grand ceremony in 2013. The couple welcomed a daughter in 2020.
