New Delhi: Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has been working tirelessly and selflessly for the people of this country ever since the nationwide lockdown commenced last year. However, it seems that the year 2021 did not start on a pleasant note for the ‘Dabbang’ actor as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a notice against him, accusing him of converting his residential building into a hotel without taking permission.

Sonu Sood approached the High Court earlier this month confronting the order of a city civil court that has dismissed his suit against the BMC. However, High Court judge Justice Prithviraj Chavan dismissed the ‘Entertainment’ actor’s plea, saying that law helps only those who are diligent.

Now, according to the latest report, the ‘Prithviraj’ actor has moved the Supreme Court over the ‘illegal construction’ matter. The Bombay High Court dismissed his plea to grant him interim relief against the illegal construction carried out by him inside his Juhu residence allegedly. The actor’s advocate Vineet Dhanda told IANS, “Key grounds to challenge the High Court order are that it was projected by BMC that he is not the owner of the property. Though, he has been issued notice as an owner and occupier.”

The advocate further revealed that it is an attempt to tarnish his client’s image, “Some harsh terms have been used against his client that he is a habitual offender. This is too harsh on him and his image is being tarnished.”
