New Delhi: The 2018 action-drama ‘Simmba’, starring Ranveer Singh in the role of the protagonist proved to be a massive success at the box office. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, this film also starred Sara Ali Khan in the female lead and Sonu Sood as the antagonist.

Today, ‘Simmba’ completes 2 years of its release. Taking to his social media, Ranveer Singh shared a video to mark this special day. The ‘83’ actor also penned down a note of gratitude for the ‘Singham’ director Rohit Shetty. Sharing the video, Singh wrote, “AAYA POLICE !!! The superhit director-actor duo of Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh has joined hands for ‘Cirkus’ which an adaptation of William Shakespeare's play ‘The Comedy of Errors’. Reportedly, the film will also feature an ensemble star cast which includes Pooja Hegde, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Sharma, Siddhartha Jadhav, Johnny Lever, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee, Vijay Patkar, Sulbha Arya, Mukesh Tiwari, Anil Charanjeett, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Murli Sharma.

Earlier this month, the ‘Cirkus’ actor his 10-year milestone in the Hindi film industry, Ranveer took to his social media and shared a picture of himself inside the movie theatre donning a quirky outfit and a mask. The ‘Befikre’ actor called the theatre ‘sacred chamber of dreams’.

Sharing the post, the actor wrote, “To commemorate my 10 year milestone in the movies....it was only fitting that I return to the sacred chamber of dreams ???????? it was marvellous”



Ranveer Singh started his career with the 2010 Yash Raj Films’ romcom ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ opposite Anushka Sharma. The powerhouse of energy, however, established a name in the industry with the 2013 Sanjay Leela Bhansali film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’. He then went on to star in several other movies including ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Gully Boy’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and others.
