Shibani Dandekar Updates Her Instagram Name And Bio After Marriage

New bride, Shibani Dandekar has made news by changing her name on social media.

New Delhi: On February 19, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar exchanged wedding vows in front of their families and close friends. Shibani has changed her Instagram name shortly after her wedding. 

Shibani Dandekar is now Mrs Akhtar, according to her updated Instagram bio. On Instagram, the actress changed her name from Shibani Dandekar to Shibani Dandekar-Akhtar.

While adding the husband's name to the bride's name is an age-old tradition, Shibani appears to be channelling all the emotions of a genuine Indian bride, and her gesture is certainly attracting a lot of attention.

The pair married at Javed Akhtar's house in Khandala, a hill station near Mumbai, and had a week-long celebration that included certain pre-wedding rituals, the wedding day, court marriage and a party organised by filmmaker Zoya Akhtar.

On social media, several photographs and videos from the Farhan and Shibani’s wedding had gone viral. Shibani donned a red and beige gown to the wedding, which she accessorised with a veil. The actress looked stunning as a bride. Farhan, on the other hand, was dressed to the nines in a black tuxedo.

Meanwhile, Farhan was most recently seen in 'Toofan,' in which he co-starred with Mrunal Thakur and Paresh Rawal in prominent roles. 

Following that, he is slated to return to the director's chair for 'Jee Le Zaraa.' For the first time on screen, Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt will appear together in the film.
