New Delhi: Shehnaaz Gill has opened up about struggling with her close friend and actor Sisharth Shukla's death. In a recent interaction, Shehnaaz shared how she found it difficult to move on and how she deliberately opted out of her film 'Honsla Rakh's promotions but gradually came around and put up a positive front for the world.
In a recent interview, Shehnaaz admitted to Bollywood Bubble that she did not display her emotions in public even though she was hurting.“Duniya ke aage roge to log bolenge sympathy gain kar rahi hai (People would say I am trying to gain sympathy if I cried in front of the world). People would consider you weak and I never want to come across as one. However, I have never tried to hide my emotions. I dealt with it myself and I am fine with it absolutely," Shehnaaz Gill told the publication.
Shehnaaz and Sidhart Shukla met on the sets of popular reality TV show 'Bigg Boss' in 2019 where their bond sparked off dating rumours. Sidharth and Shehnaaz were affectionately called SidNaaz by their fans while the rumours of dating were neither confirmed nor denied by the two.
Sidharth Shukla was declared winner of 'Bigg Boss Season 13' while Shehnaaz became the runner up of that season.
Sidharth Shukla died of a heart attack in September 2021. He was 40-years-old.
Shehnaaz had paid homage to Sidharth with a music video 'Tu Yaheen Hai' sometime after Sidharth's death. For this, many of SidNaaz fans appreciated the actress' gesture while a section of social media trolled Shehnaaz for cashing in on Sidharth's death. Shehnaaz had hit back at the trolls by saying that people do not know the whole story and her gesture was purely out of respect.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shehnaaz will soon be making her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan's 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali'.
