'Shamshera' Teaser OUT: Ranbir Kapoor Is Here To Steal The Show With His Valour

The teaser gives a glimpse of Ranbir's spectacular performance in and as 'Shamshera', as he takes a stand against his oppressors to fight for his land and his people.

New Delhi: The makers of Ranbir Kapoor starrer action-drama 'Shamshera' are all geared-up for the film's release in July and are promoting it in all corners. By releasing the teaser of the period drama on Wednesday, the makers have amped up the audience's excitement a notch higher.

The teaser gives a glimpse of Ranbir's spectacular performance in and as 'Shamshera', as he takes a stand against his oppressors to fight for his land and his people. Both Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor look fierce and intense as they ruthlessly charge at each other. The teaser begins with Ranbir reciting a poetry that builds up the background of the story. While Ranbir will be seen romancing Vaani Kapoor in the film, the teaser does not reveal the actress' look. 

'Shamshera' teaser is gripping and intriguing, making the audience want more.

The makers will release the trailer of the film on Friday, June 24. 

The story of 'Shamshera' is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh. This is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe's freedom and dignity. His name is 'Shamshera'.

The high-octane, adrenaline-pumping entertainer is set in the 1800s in the heartland of India with Ranbir essaying the titular character. Sanjay Dutt plays Ranbir's arch-enemy in this huge casting coup and his showdown with Ranbir will be something to watch out for as they will ferociously go after each other with no mercy.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, this action extravaganza has been produced by Aditya Chopra and is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22.
