New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor is all set to make a powerful comeback on the silver screen after a hiatus of four years. The actor, who was last seen in the Sanjay Dutt biopic 'Sanju' in 2019, is geared up to rule over the audience's hearts once again with 'Brahmastra' and 'Shamshera'.

While the makers of 'Brahmastra: Part One, Shiva' have already amped up the audience's excitement with the thrilling trailer, recently, the first look poster of Ranbir's high-octane drama 'Shamshera' got leaked online, after a fan activation event.

The makers were set to kick-start the film campaign next week as activities were planned by Yash Raj Films leading up to the trailer launch.

However, the campaign strategies have now seemed to have gone for a toss as the makers will now have to plan everything more meticulously. Though the poster might have been leaked much to the dismay of the makers, but it has managed to get the netizens on the edge, who have given Ranbir's look in the film a thumbs-up and are hailing the actor for sporting a look, never seen before.

A twitter user shared the leaked poster and wrote, "Poster from Shamshera is Massive. Looking its a different movie.. Eagerly waitin."

Another user tweeted, "This a Dark Horse....YRF getting a revival..Ranbir Kapoor is back after SANJU!"

The story of 'Shamshera' is set in the fictitious city of Kaza, where a warrior tribe is imprisoned, enslaved and tortured by a ruthless authoritarian general Shudh Singh. This is the story of a man who became a slave, a slave who became a leader and then a legend for his tribe. He relentlessly fights for his tribe's freedom and dignity. His name is 'Shamshera'.

The high-octane, adrenaline-pumping entertainer is set in the 1800s in the heartland of India with Ranbir essaying the titular character. Sanjay Dutt plays Ranbir's arch-enemy in this huge casting coup and his showdown with Ranbir will be something to watch out for as they will ferociously go after each other with no mercy.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, this action extravaganza has been produced by Aditya Chopra and is set to release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on July 22.
