New Delhi: Anupam Kher, who is highly active on social media, posted a special message in honour of the birth anniversary of his dear friend Satish Kaushik. Kher shared a touching video on Instagram a while back, which is a montage of all the days that they had spent together. The video also has Anil Kapoor's pictures as the three of them used to spend a lot of time together and would often meet up for dinner.
He wrote in the caption that he will be celebrating his late friend’s birthday today, along with Satish’s wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika. The caption, which is written in Hindi, can be translated as:
"My dear friend Satish Kaushik, I wish you a very happy birthday! Today, you would have turned 67. But, I have got the privilege of celebrating your birthday for 48 years. So, I have decided that I will celebrate your birthday today with grandeur. Will leave a seat for you beside Sashi and Vanshika. Come my friend and watch us celebrate Satish Kaushik Night with Music, Love and Laughter! Happy Birthday, Satish my friend."
Netizens were emotional on seeing the video and poured in their heartfelt comments. One of them said, "No gift is better than to celebrate his birthday in a friend's absence. That makes you unique sir.", while another person wrote, "Ur indeed a true friend. We don’t get people like this anymore." A third user commented, "Very rare we find friendship so bonded to each other. Salute to you sir for keeping the friendship still going and I'm sure Satish sir some where From universe will be witnessing it."
Previously also Anupam Kher had shared a video with Satish Kaushik where he said, "We dreamt together. We started our lives together at the National School of Drama in July 1975. He went to Bombay before me. We used to fight, quarrel, get jealous of each other, but above all, we used to call each other around 8-8.30 A.M in the morning every day."
Satish Kaushik was a versatile actor, writer, director and producer, who delivered a lot of memorable performances in films like 'Mr India', 'Saajan Chale Sasural' and 'Judaai'. Additionally, he had also shot for his role of 'Pandit Jagjivan Ram' in Kangana Ranaut's upcoming directorial, 'Emergency'.
After having a heart attack in Delhi, Satish Kaushik passed suddenly in March, right after the celebrating Holi. He had travelled to Delhi to celebrate Holi with his friends and around 11 o'clock, he started to feel nervous and informed his manager over the phone. Unfortunately, he passed away on his way to the hospital.
