Sara Ali Khan is receiving mixed reactions for her recent venture as Rinku in ‘Atrangi Re’. While the actress is enjoying the appreciation for her performance, she is also aware of the criticism. Speaking about the movie with Hindustan Times, the actress mentioned that it is close to her heart and said, “It’s divine justice somehow that in 2020, the only good thing that happened (for me) was Atrangi Re, and 2021 ended with Atrangi, and I’m beginning 2022 talking to you about it.”

‘Atrangi Re’ had a direct OTT release and when asked if she would like her other films to take the OTT route too, she stated that the films are made for the audience to watch and even though she misses the theatrical experience, if she’s able to entertain the people and make them appreciate her films then the platform doesn’t really matter.

Sara’s previous film ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ did not do well at the box office. Talking about how well the actress handles criticism she said, “Ever since I was a child, I’ve enjoyed criticism.

Of course, I enjoy appreciation also But I’ve realised early in my life that more than the happiness that successes give you, the learnings that failures give you teach you far more in life.” She further added that when the criticism is regarding her she makes sure that she makes conscious efforts to improve herself but if she’s being trolled about being the person that she is, she does not let it impact her.
