The actor Miguel Herrán from Netflix's smash series Money Heist arrived at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International airport on Monday, surprising Indian fans. In Money Heist, Miguel plays Rio, a young hacker. Numerous photographs and videos of the actor from the airport leaked on social media, and fans were overjoyed to see him. Some joked that his visit was to commit a heist in the country.

When Miguel arrived at the airport, he posed for photos with the supporters. He was seen in one of the photographs sporting an olive-colored t-shirt with matching cargo pants. He afterward went out wearing a black sweatshirt. As he exited the airport, he was seen dragging his luggage trolley.

One of the actor's followers believed he looked significantly different from how he appeared on the web series.

"Looking Quite Different in Real Life," said one commenter on his photo. "Welcome to State Bank of India," another enthusiast said. Several admirers even inquired about the whereabouts of his heist companion Tokyo, alias rsula Corberó. Rio's love interest in Money Heist is Tokyo. "Rio, where is Tokyo?" wondered one enthusiast. "Chor bazar aaya hoga kuch naya seekhne" (He must have come to learn something fresh from Chor Bazar), mocked another Instagram user.

Miguel's TV commercial for an Indian music app became viral a few years back. He starred in a Gaana advertisement alongside Pia Bajpai.

The two characters in the 2015 ad went from strangers in a subway to friends after bonding over music.

Money Heist is one of Netflix's most popular series. In the show, Miguel's Rio is a young hacker who assists The Professor in setting up his hi-tech den, which serves as both his hideout and the heist's control centre. The show's last season appeared on Netflix in 2021.
