If Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde files a plea and the session court takes up her bail plea, then only the actress can get relief by tomorrow evening. If the session court gives another date for hearing, the Bollywood actress might have to stay in Byculla women's jail.
Rhea’s plea for bail was rejected. The actress will stay at NCB’s lockup after her bail application was rejected. According to sources, she will be sent to Byculla jail tomorrow. Her lawyer will have to go to session court for her bail.
Rhea Chakraborty appeared before the court through video conferencing. The magistrate rejected her bail application. According to sources, the ‘Jalebi’ actress will spend her night at NCB’s office in Mumbai.
Bollywood celebs including Vidya Balan, Anurag Kashyap and Sonam Kapoor have come out in support of Rhea Chakraborty on social media. Kashyap used the hashtag #JusticeForRhea while sharing his post.
Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu reacted to Sushant's family lawyer's statement on Rhea Chakraborty's arrest. She tweeted, "So this isn’t his case he says.

Meanwhile, late Sushant's father KK Singh has filed a complaint against the 'Dil Bechara' actor's psychiatrist Dr. Susan Walker for allegedly disclosing his son's medical condition. KK Singh wrote a complaint letter to the Medical Council of India, accusing Walker of breaching confidentiality.
The NCB in its remand application said that Showik Chakraborty was procuring drugs from Kaizen Ibrahim and Abdel Basit Parihar on Rhea’s behest.
Meanwhile, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey has said that Rhea Chakraborty’s arrest is a big win for the state. He added that he has big expectations from the CBI, which is investigating Sushant’s death case.
Rhea was produced before the magistrate through video conferencing. The NCB has got 14-day judicial custody of the ‘Jalebi’ actress. The hearing on bail plea is currently underway.
In the remand application, a copy of which is procured by ABP News, it is stated that Showik in his statement had confessed that Rhea used to ask him to get drugs. She was the one who would specify the name of the drug and would finance the transaction.
NCB in its remand copy said that Rhea Chakraborty is an active member of drug syndicate and she used to procure drugs for late Sushant Singh Rajput. According to sources, Showik Chakraborty confessed that Rhea knew about the payments made for procurement of drugs for SSR.
The Narcotics Control Bureau has sought judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty till September 21 in its remand application.
Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer Satish Maneshinde has applied for bail. Earlier in the day, Maneshinde issued a statement after Rhea’s arrest. “Travesty of justice. 3 central agencies hounding a single woman just because she was in love with a drug addict who was suffering from mental health issues for several yrs & committed suicide due to consumption of illegally administered medicines, drugs,” the statement read.
Rhea Chakraborty has reached NCB’s office in Mumbai after undergoing tests at Sion hospital. She will be produced before a magistrate through video conferencing. The court proceedings will start at 8pm, according to ABP News’ sources.

Rhea Chakraborty complained of stomach ache after which the doctors conducted sonography, according to ABP News’ sources. She is expected to shortly leave Sion hospital.
MA Jain, Dy DG, South-Western Region, NCB, while addressing the media, said that Rhea Chakraborty would be produced before the magistrate. He added that the agency doesn’t need her custody remand but they will oppose her bail.
Rhea Chakraborty has tested negative for Covid-19 and the general medical tests have also been completed. She will be leaving Sion hospital shortly and will be taken back to NCB office.

NCB may not seek remand: As per sources NCB may not seek remand of Rhea Chakraborty, as it has already conducted questioning for three days and the accused is ready to be present whenever summoned.
