New Delhi: Reham Khan, the ex-wife of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, announced her marriage to actor and model Mirza Bilal Baig at an American wedding. The 49-year-old who is now based in the US posted on Twitter saying, "We had a lovely Nikkah ceremony performed in Seattle with the blessings of Mirza Bilal's parents & my son as my Vakeel."
"Finally found a man who I can trust Mirza Bilal.", ANI quoted Reham as saying. A lot of pictures were shared on social media where Reham was spotted wearing a white wedding gown while her 36-year-old husband Bilal was in a mauve suit.
Earlier Reham had taken to Twitter to announce her marriage by posting an image of two hands with the words, "Just married."
Not just for Reham, this is also the third marriage for Mirza Bilal Baig who is a US-based corporate professional and a former model. Previously, Reham had tied the knot with Imran Khan in 2015, in a ceremony at his Islamabad home but divorced him ten months later.
She also took to Instagram and posted a picture of the ceremony with the caption, "Found my soulmate."
Netizens took to the comments section of her posts and congratulated her and sent their best wishes.
After their divorce, Reham Khan explained why their marriage had failed. She revealed that she had been the target of a hate campaign in Pakistan the same way as Imran's first wife Jemima was which is why their marriage could not last.
Reham Khan, a broadcast journalist who was born in Libya and studied in Pakistan, started her career as a broadcast journalist in the UK in the mid-1990s. She also served as a weather presenter for BBC South Today. She first met Imran Khan in 2012 after relocating to Pakistan, when she was interviewing him for a regional TV programme.
