New Delhi: Ranveer Singh started his career with Yash Raj Films’ romcom ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ opposite Anushka Sharma in the year. Recently, the powerhouse of energy celebrated a 10-year milestone in the Hindi film industry by visiting a movie theatre. However, he established a name in the industry with the 2013 Sanjay Leela Bhansali film ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela’. He then went on to star in several other movies including ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Gully Boy’, ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and others.

The ‘Lootera’ actor recently kicked started the shooting of his upcoming film with Rohit Shetty ‘Cirkus’. This movie is the adaptation of Shakespeare’s Comedy Of Errors. Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez will be seen portraying the lead female roles in the movie.
A source informed Mumbai Mirror, “After exploring different sub-genres of comedy- horror, slapstick and situational- Rohit is stepping into the period space. The film is set in the '60s. Since the humour arises from when four lookalikes cross each other's paths, Rohit decided to set the story in '68 when there were no mobile phones.”
Ranveer is also awaiting the release of his upcoming movies including Kabir Khan’s sports drama ‘83’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Jayeshbhai Jordaar’ which got delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the latest report, Ranveer will kick-start a romantic film with Alia Bhatt around April next year. The source further told the publication, “Ranveer will take some time off and do a 25-day workshop with Karan's team before kick-starting the romantic film around April next year.”
The ‘Befikre’ actor is also in talks with ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ director Zoya Akhtar for a gangster drama and with Ali Abbas Zafar for the sci-fi superhero film ‘Mr India’, according to a report of Mumbai Mirror. The report further adds that Ranveer might come on board for the fourth instalment of the ‘Dhoom’ as the bad guy in mid-2022.
