Ranbir Kapoor recently sparked a rumour that he and Alia are expecting twins. In a conversation with Film Companion, when he was asked to say two truths and a lie, Ranbir said, “I am having twins, I am going to be part of a very big mythological film, I am taking a long break from work." Soon after the interview was aired, fans started guessing and many believed that the couple might be expecting twins.
Now Ranbir has addressed the rumour and spoken about it. During the promotion of his upcoming film ‘Shamshera’ in New Delhi, the actor was asked about the rumour about having twins.
Ranbir responded by saying, “Don’t create controversy. They asked me to state three things: two truths and a lie. Now I can’t reveal what is the truth, and what is the lie.”
The actor was also asked about the memefest that was started on the Internet because of his song ‘Kesariya’. Netizens were not impressed by the use of the words ‘love storiya’ in the song. The fact that the lyrics of the song are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya, was even more surprising for everyone as the lyricist is known for soulful writing.
While reacting to the trolling that the song has got Ranbir said, “No, it’s great! See, listen, we as filmmakers and artists create something and it is up to the audience to receive it how they do. We are very excited about the song and it’s got a lot of love.” He added, “Today, memes and trolling is all part of life and it’s fine as long as people enjoy the song, Pritam’s music and Arijit Singh’s singing. I want them to enjoy my chemistry with Alia and that’s what the endeavour is.”
Ranbir’s film ‘Shamshera’ will hit the screen on 22 July. The film also features Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in major roles.
