New Delhi: Rakhi Sawant's husband Adil Khan Durrani is likely to stay in custody for some more time. Adil was taken into judicial custody on February 7 after the actor filed a complaint accusing him of cheating fraud and domestic violence. As per reports, a case was registered under various sections of the IPC and he was produced before the Dondoshi sessions court that had rejected Mumbai Police's request for his remand. After he was sent for judicial custody, Durrani moved a bail application.

As per ETimes, the Session court has instructed the Superintendent of Arthur Road Jail to turn over Durrani's custody to the investigating officer of Oshiwara police station. Although the Magistrate court's detailed order is yet to be made public, it is being reported that the court order also stated that the investigating officer should bring Durrani before the Magistrate's court on Thursday for extended remand.

However, as per Rakhi's lawyer, who was quoted by ETimes, "We have got a huge victory today. The trial court had earlier refused police investigation into the case. Their order was challenged today. And the court kept that order aside and has allowed police to take his custody for investigation. He will be produced before the Magistrate tomorrow."

Rakhi also shared in the same publication's report, "I am thankful to my advocates. Abhi jo ek khushi ki umeed aur ek sachai ki jeet jo abhi mili hai mujhe, mein judge sahab ko shukriy ada karna chahungi. Ek maheena mein kaise pidit rahi hun mujhe nyaya mila hai. Tomorrow Adil would be brought from Arthur Road jail to the police station and produced in court. Zaroor jhooth haarega and sach jeetega. Yeh mera vishwaas hai."

After her mother’s death, Rakhi spoke about her troubled marriage to the press where she accused Adil of cheating, fraud and domestic violence. Rakhi had also accused Adil of her mother's death and said she would have been alive today had she been given medical treatment on time if Adil had not taken her money.
