'Superstar' Rajinikanth's mass dark comedy movie Jailer has opened for an astounding record start on the day of its release on Thursday. The Tamil movie has occupied 95% of the screens across Tamil Nadu in over 110 screens, reported ETimes. Along with Rajinikanth, the movie also stars Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Sunil, Tamannaah Bhatia, and a cameo role has been done by Mohanlal. The movie was produced by Kalanithi Maran of Sun Pictures and was directed by Nelson.
The frenzy is also because this is the first film of Rajini to be released in over 2 years.
Though the first show of the movie started only at 9 AM in Chennai, some of the fans of the actor have driven all the way to Bengaluru and other metro cities to catch a glimpse of 'Thalaivar', as they fondly call him, in the first day first show (FDFS) at 6 AM.
