New Delhi: Newly married couple Swara Bhaskar and Fahad Ahmad threw a lavish wedding reception on March 16 at the Air Force Auditorium in Delhi. The couple had a court wedding, but the reception party was a lavish affair and was attended by friends, family and political leaders alike. Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal, Shashi Tharoor and Jaya Bachchan were some of the people who were seen at the party.
Rahul Gandhi was welcomed warmly by Swara's father. He congratulated the couple and was also seen sharing a word with Swara's mother.
Additionally, he also posed with a couple for a picture. Previously, Swara joined Rahul in the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Madhya Pradesh in December.
Apart from Rahul Gandhi, Arvind Kejriwal was also seen at the reception party.
After the wedding, the couple hosted a Qawaali Night that was attended by Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav.
MP Supriya Sule was also seen at the reception. She shared pictures from the evening on her Instagram handle. She captioned the post by writing, "Congratulations Swara Bhaskar and Fahad Ahmad! Wishing you both all the good luck and happiness in the world!"
Swara Bhaskar shared images from the reception party on her Instagram handle and she looked marvellous in the pink lehenga that she had worn. Fahad, on the other hand, was seen in an ivory sherwani with small patterns all over it. Both their outfits were from the shelves of designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.
