New Delhi: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandana’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ was a massive hit. From Allu Arjun’s heavyweight dialogues to immensely popular songs, the movie became a rage among the moviegoers.

There is a lot of buzz around its sequel ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ and fans are eagerly waiting for its release. There were speculations that the film will release in December but it seems we will have to wait longer to watch Allu Arjun again as Pushpa on screen.  According to the latest reports, the movie will be released on Sankranti 2023.

According to a report by News 18, the release is delayed as the writer and director of the movie, Sukumar, is taking a lot of time to finish the script. He is making a lot of additions and also focusing on dialogues, which can be trendsetters.

There was also news that the sequel will be shot on a much bigger budget than the first part. According to various reports, the first part was made on a budget of Rs 194 crore, while the producers are looking at investing Rs 400 crore in the second part. Allu Arjun is reportedly taking home a paycheque of a whopping Rs 100 crore. However, the makers are yet to confirm any of these reports.

It is also to be seen which OTT platform will bag the rights of the movie. ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.

Allu Arjun is expected to start shooting the first schedule of ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ in July. The sequel will continue narrating the story of the rivalry between Pushpa Raj and IPS Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, played by Fahadh Faasil.
