New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra Jonas has established herself as a global icon by having done some stellar work in both Hollywood and Bollywood. The actor has had a difficult ride of a career with many stumbling blocks along the way. The former Miss World and National award-winning actor will also be seen in Amazon Prime series 'Citadel'. Off late Priyanka Chopra made some explosive reve;ations about her journey and Bollywood. Now, her mother Madhu Chopra has opened up about her daughter's struggles along the way.
In a recent interaction with Josh Talks Asia, Madhu Chopra shared, "Both Priyanka and I were new to the film and beauty industries. So, it was like one blind man leading another blind man. I had studied law and knew finance. So, I used to oversee her legal matters, even though she had good lawyers. I also overlooked her finances because I had knowledge. I had to be with her everywhere, be it narrations or meetings."
The proud mother also added that Priyanka has always remained strong about her beliefs and not doing anything she is not comfortable with. "One day we decided that she will not have any meetings, she will not go out anywhere, she will not fraternize after 7-7.30 in the evening. She stood firm on this decision. She didn’t do anything that she is not comfortable with," she added.
Madhu Chopra also shared that Priyanka Chopra also lost out on many projects because she refused to do certain scenes which she thought were not worth it. Madhu Chopra also shared that Priyanka was not compelled to continue her acting career and that she always had choices. "We always told her, this is not ‘Do or die’ situation. You can always go back, take up studies, or take up some other career. You have a lot of options. If not this, then that."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Priyanka will be seen in Russo Brothers' 'Citadel' alongside Richard Madden. PC also has Farhan Akhtar's 'Jee Le Zaraa' with Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. Priyanka will also be seen in action film 'Heads Of State' with Sam Heughan, and Celine Dion in 'Love Again'.
Recently, Priyanka Chopra was on a three-day visit to India to promote 'Citadel'.
