New Delhi: Last week, quite some controversy occurred when Priyanka Chopra revealed her reason for leaving Bollywood. Now, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, who attended the grand launch of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai,  met and greeted Karan Johar. The three seemed to be quite friendly with each other. But, this didn't go down well with many on social media.

On Friday night, videos of Priyanka and Nick were shared on social media where they were seen sharing a warm hug with Karan Johar and chatting with him in a friendly manner. While Priyanka Chopra wore an off-shoulder silver gown with a furry shrug to go with it. Meanwhile, Nick Jonas wore an all-black suit.

Earlier, Priyanka Chopra revealed in an interview that she had left Bollywood because of the politics and that she felt she was being sidelined in the industry. Soon after Priyanka made this statement without naming anyone, Kangana Ranaut came out in support of Priyanka and said that it was Karan Johar who had banned and harrassed Priyanka Chopra and pushed her to leave India. Thus, with Priyanka and Karan hugging at the event and being all friendly; fans were left disappointed and confused.

Netizens even slammed the actor for not taking a stand while many termed her as 'hypocrite.' A tweet read, “This is how Bollywood is...#PriyankaChopra is a full hypocrite. She said about the politics of #bollywood. now she is trying to be the best friend of #KaranJohar, trying to stay in his good books. So nobody can be so straightforward and original like #KanganaRanaut, Queen.”

A user wrote, "Just a few days back she was talking against bollywood. How she was ousted and all. And now she can't take hands off from the main perpetrator she claimed to have compelled her to leave india. Bizarre," while another Priyanka supporter said, "Priyanka is a mature grown up women, she is being cordial and friendly….do you expect her to scream and shout at him?how old are you guys?."

The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre ( NMACC) opened on Friday. For the inaugural ceremony, Geroz Abbas Khan directed a dramatic piece involving 700 performers which featured art forms such as dance, music and puppetry. The evening saw the likes of Bollywood Town celebs and well-known designers and international stars from across the globe land in Mumbai.
