New Delhi: Bollywood actor Preity Zinta is on a family vacation in Shimla, her hometown, with her husband Gene Goodenough and their twins Jai and Gia. On Friday, the actor posted pictures from her stay. In the photos, she can be seen trying to use a traditional chulha (oven).

She took to Instagram to post pictures and wrote, “Re living old memories & making new ones. All the action revolves around the kitchen in pahadi homes. Here I’m trying to light the fire & bring the rarely used old school chulha to life ❤️ #memories #farmlife #pahadiculture #ting”

Preity is seen wearing a salwar suit, and a sweater and has her head covered with a scarf. She is near a chulha trying to light a fire.

The actor also visited the Hateshwari Mata temple in Shimla with her family and shared a glimpse of her visit. She posted a video and wrote, “When I was a little girl I often visited the Hateshwari Mata temple in Hatkoti, Shimla - Himachal Pradesh. This temple has played a big role in my childhood & I’ve always felt very connected to it. Now that I’m a mother its only natural that the first temple my kids visited was this incredible & ancient temple. Here’s a sneak peek of our visit. I’m sure Jai & Gia will not remember this trip so we will have to come back again ❤️🙏 क्योंकि माँ का बुलावा फिर से ज़रूर आएगा 🙏 Jai Ma Durga - Jai Mahisasurmardini 😍 If any of you get a chance to visit do not miss it. It’s magical, mysterious & stunning beautiful & yes you can thank me later. #Jaimatadi #Hateshwarimata #family #tradition #ting”

The actor’s husband Gene, who is on her first visit to Preity’s hometown, was gifted a traditional Himachali cap by her family. The actor shared photos of her husband wearing the cap.

Preity Zinta also shared a clip of her kid Jai walking in a garden and wrote, “My kind of heaven ❤️ The last couple of days have been amazing. Mountains, family, clean air & a digital detox. No better sound than hearing …. mama … mama for the first time from the kiddos. This really is heaven 😍 #ting.”

Preity and Gene Goodenough got married in 2016 in Los Angeles. The duo became parents to twins in 2021 via surrogacy.
