New Delhi: The trailer of Katrina Kaif, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ishaan Khatter starrer ‘Phone Bhoot’ is out. The trailer shows Katrina Kaif as a ghost who meets two ‘ghostbusters’ Siddhant and Ishaan with a business idea and what follows is the hilarious twists and turns required in a horror comedy.
The trailer also introduces Jackie Shroff as ‘Aatma Ram’ who looks like the villain of the story. The trailer also has references of the film ‘Haqeeqat’, ‘Gully Boy’ and ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. The last scene shows Katrina taking a dig at her Hindi (or this is what it looked like) when a ghost played by Sheeba Chaddha, is unable to say ‘moksh’, Katrina says, “Tumhari Hindi weak hai?”
The trailer raises the expectations from the film. It seems the film will be a crazy fun adventure that takes pop culture and film situations and turns them on its head to create a quirky world of ghosts and gags. The tone of the film is interactive, with characters breaking the fourth wall and immersing the audience in banter and adventure. At its core, it’s a story of good vs evil.
Earlier, Katrina had shared a quirky and fun video featuring Siddhant Chaturvedi, and Ishaan Khatter trapped in a car while they encounter the pretty ghost Katrina Kaif who troubles them and they are just counting their breath to find their escape.
‘Phone Bhoot’ would be another horror comedy after the blockbuster ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Ravi Shankaran and Jasvinder Singh Bath, the film is produced by Excel Entertainment, headed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film is all set to be released on November 4, 2022.
'Phone Bhoot’ is Katrina Kaif’s first release after marriage. She will also be seen with Salman Khan in 'Tiger 3' and in 'Merry Christmas' with Vijay Setupathi.
Siddhant Chaturvedi will next be seen in 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan' with Ananya Panday while Ishaan Khatter, has 'Pippa', starring Soni Razdan, Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli, in his kitty.
The trio had also appeared on Koffee With Karan Season 7 where they shared their experience of working in the film.
