Shefali Jariwala's death: A grief-stricken Parag Tyagi, husband of late actor Shefali Jariwala, addressed the media after performing her final rites in Mumbai. Struggling to hold back tears, he urged the public and the media for sensitivity and prayers.

"Please mazak drama mat banaiyega. Main ab sab se request karta hu, please meri pari ke liye sab pray kariyega," he said emotionally outside the Oshiwara crematorium, where Shefali was laid to rest on Saturday. The last rites were conducted in accordance with Hindu traditions by her father, and Parag.

The couple, who tied the knot in 2014 after years of a low-key relationship, did not have children but were devoted pet parents to their dog Simba. Shefali, 42, passed away on the night of June 27, reportedly following a cardiac arrest. Her death has sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry and among her fans.

Shefali Jariwala's last rites

A video circulating online captured the heartbreaking moment when Parag Tyagi and Hindustani Bhau, Shefali’s 'Bigg Boss 13' co-contestant and Rakhi brother, were seen carrying her mortal remains. Bhau, visibly emotional, had earlier told the media, “She was like my family. More than a sister, she was my child.”

Shefali Jariwala was cremated at Mumbai’s Oshiwara Crematorium on Saturday, with her final rites performed by her father, and husband Parag Tyagi in accordance with Hindu customs.

This is the same crematorium where her 'Bigg Boss 13' co-contestant Sidharth Shukla was laid to rest in 2021. The two had shared screen space during the show and were part of the same season that gained immense popularity.

Several members of the entertainment industry gathered at the funeral to offer their condolences and bid a final farewell to the late actor.
