New Delhi: Anushka Sharma’s ‘Paatal Lok’ has managed to become the talk of the town ever since the web series was released on Amazon Prime Video. Both critics and fans have given thumbs up to ‘Paatal Lok’ and this is one of the reasons why it is creating a lot of buzz on social media. Not only the fans but even the tinsel town celebs are binge-watching the show amid the COVID-19 lockdown.


Bollywood stars including Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal and Rajkummar Rao showered praises on the web series and the actors.

Manoj Bajpayee, who worked with Jaideep Ahlawat in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, called ‘Paatal Lok’ a ‘finely scripted’ series.

Vicky Kaushal, who was Jaideep Ahlawat's co-star in Meghna Gulzar's 'Raazi', seemed immensely impressed by the series.

"Best performance of the year!!! @jaideepahlawat #paatallok Also congratulations @anushkasharma @avinasharun24fps and team for a brilliant show!," the actor, last seen in 'Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship', wrote.

Anushka Sharma thanked both Varun Dhawan and Rajkummar Rao on her Instagram story. The two actors lauded 'Paatal Lok' for its storytelling.

Varun Dhawan, who will be next seen in 'Coolie No.1' opposite Sara Ali Khan, wrote, "Just saw Paatal Lok. Superb performances and gripping screenplay."

Rajkummar Rao called 'Paatal Lok' an 'Absolute MUST WATCH."

The cop crime thriller focused on various social issues that are still present in the society. Lead actor Jaideep Ahlawat and other cast members have received both critical and popular acclaim.

The show depicted the social class differences in society and fans even appreciated the makers for adding the touch of realism to it. 'Paatal Lok' is certainly an unmissable series and should be on the top of your list as it makes for the perfect quarantine binge.
