Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar: Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ has been gaining plaudits as well as critical feedback from viewers. Besides discussion over the authenticity of the story elements, the Netflix series has also sparked a nepotism debate. Bhansali is accused of the N-word for roping his niece Sharmin Segal as Alamzeb in the newly released series.

Sharmin, the daughter of Bella Bhansali Segal and Deepak Segal, plays a pivotal role in the show. ‘Heeramandi’ boasts a stellar ensemble cast of seasoned actors like Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Shekhar Suman, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
