New Delhi: As celeb reviews for Anurag Kashyap's 'Dobaaraa' featuring Taapsee Pannu start pouring in, fans have another reason to cheer for the upcoming psychological thriller. During one such promotional event, when Taapsee and Anurag were one again asked if they would make an appearance on the infamous celebrity-chat show 'Koffee With Karan Season 7', Anurag had a hilarious reply. On being asked the aforementioned question, Aurag said, " “Hum log apna khud hi karne vale hain (We’ll start our own show),” and called the show, ‘Cutting with Kashyap’. “Budget ke hisaab se (As per our budget),” he told Bollywood Bubble.
Anurag also had a suggestion for Taapsee and said, ‘Tharra with Taapsee’ and another suggestion for the show's name ‘Panna with Pannu’. This left Taapsee in splits. Anurag Kashyap then went on to say that on their show, they would cook chicken and instead of giving a hamper, they would offer food to the celebrity guests.
Earlier, when Taapsee Pannu was asked why she was not invited on KWK during one such promo event for 'Dobaaraa', Taapsee had said,"My sex life is not interesting enough to be invited to Koffee With Karan.” The remark fit perfectly to the current vibe of 'Koffee With Karan' where celebrity guests find themselves dodging questions about their sexuality.
While Taapsee has never been on the show, Anurag was invited to the fourth season of 'Koffee With Karan' with Anushka Sharma. At that time, Anurag was directing 'Bombay Velvet' and Karan Johar was also part of that film which starred Ranbir Kapoor in the lead.
In the upcoming Thursday episode of 'Koffee With Karan', Vicky Kaushal and Sidharth Malhotra will be gracing the Koffee couch. As of now, Ranveer SIngh, Alia Bhatt, Arjun Kapoor, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Akshay Kumar, Vijay Deverakonda, Ananya Panday and Sonam Kapoor have attended the 'Koffee With Karan' show.
Meanwhile, Anurag Kashyap's directorial 'Dobaaraa' features Taapsee Pannu and Pavail Gulati, the duo who were also seen together in 'Thappad'.
