New Delhi: New mom Alia Bhatt shared a video of Hollywood star Kate Winslet where the actor can be seen talking about body positivity. Taking to her official Instagram handle, Alia shared a video of the 'Avatar The Way of Water' actor in which she spoke about how she was body shamed early on in her career by the press and a section of the showbiz. Alia shared the video through her Instagram story and wrote, "Word, please watch the full video.”

Speaking to journalist  Josh Horowitz, the actor recalled all the humiliating remarks she had to endure post Titanic's release. "Apparently, I was too fat. Isn’t it awful? Why were they so mean to me? They were so mean. I wasn’t even f**king fat.”

"If I could turn back the clock, I would have used my voice in a completely different way… I would have said to journalists, I would have responded: ‘Don’t you dare treat me like this. I’m a young woman, my body is changing, I’m figuring it out, I’m deeply insecure, I’m terrified, don’t make this any harder than it already is.’ That’s bullying, you know, and actually borderline abusive, I would say,” she concluded.

Alia Bhatt who has undergone a massive physical change post the birth of her daughter Raha made headlines when her husband and actor Ranbir Kapoor jokingly referred to her weight gain during pregnancy as 'phailaoed' ( loosely meaning stretched or scattered). Later, when a section of people called out Ranbir, the actor apologized for the statement, even as Alia brushed aside the whole episode as a harmless joke.

Ali Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor tied the knot in April last year. The two welcomed their first child in November, whom they named Raha. Ranbir and Alia starred together for the first time in Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra' and the film was a super hit at the box office.
