New Delhi: After great anticipation, Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra part 1: Shiva' has debuted in theatres and has been met with widespread acclaim. Fans have been raving about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's chemistry, but the film's visual effects have had viewers on the edge of their seats. Moreover, Shah Rukh Khan's surprising cameo appearance in the mythical play quickly became the buzz of the town.

As a result of the very positive reception to Shah Rukh Khan's brief on-screen appearance (20 minutes), fans are demanding a sequel film based on the persona of Dr. Mohan Bhargav.

SRK plays a scientist in Brahmastra who wields the power of Vanarastra. Some of his followers were only relieved to see him back in a movie theatre.

A Shah Rukh Khan supporter called Girish Johar has made the demand official by tweeting a link to a petition in favour of a Bramhastra spin-off featuring the actor.

The petition reads: “I request Dharma Productions and director Ayan Mukerji to make a spin-off of Bhrahmastra featuring Mohan Bhargav, played by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan”.

There are now 2,382 signatories to the petition, and that number is growing rapidly.

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Brahmāstra is a new original universe inspired by deeply rooted concepts and tales from Indian history but set in the modern world, with epic storytelling of fantasy, adventure, good vs evil, love, and hope; all told using cutting-edge technology and never-seen-before visual spectacles.

The science-fiction fantasy thriller that has an ensemble star cast with Ranbir and Alia in lead roles, has become a rage ever since its release, courtesy the grand scale of this magnum opus drama and the larger than life VFX. 'Brahmastra' also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles with Shah Rukh Khan in a special cameo.
