New Delhi: Actress Neena Gupta and her daughter and designer Masaba Gupta created quite a buzz with their recent performance in Netflix's second season of 'Masaba Masaba'. Now, Neena Gupta has created a buzz with her statement about her relationship with legendary cricketer Vivian Richards. In an interaction with Bollywood Bubble, Neena Gupta spoke about her past relationships.
Neena said, "I believe once you love somebody, how can you hate? You cannot live, you cannot be together. I don’t hate my ex-boyfriends. I don’t hate my ex-husband. Why should I hate?''The actor further added, “Agar koi mereko itna bura lagta hai toh main bachcha use paida karungi kyun? Mai pagal hun kya? (If I hated someone so much, why would I have a baby with them? Am I mad?)” referring to Vivian Richards.
Neena Gupta was in a relationship with former West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards in the 80's. In 1989, Neena welcomed Masaba, whom she then raised as a single mother after Vivian who was married at that time refused to leave his wife for Neena. In 2008, Neena married Vivek Mehra in a private ceremony.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Neena Gupta will next be seen in Sooraj Bharjatya’s upcoming film ‘Unnchai’ which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani and Anupam Kher. Among the female cast, Parineeti Chopra is also part of the project. 'Unnchai' also stars Nasifa Ali Sodhi and Danny Denzongpa.
‘Unchai’s first look poster was unveiled on Sunday and the film is stated to be released on November 11, 2022.
