Actor Mouni Roy made headlines on Saturday for an unexpected reason. Pictures of her were mistakenly shared on the official Twitter handle of the National Stock Exchange. This obviously sent the Twitter on a meltdown and garnered unprecedented engagements. Fans were baffled to see a post of Mouni Roy in an account that talks about money and they were trying to understand the connection between the two. Nevertheless, the post was then deleted but many took the screenshot of it and shared it on the micro-blogging site.
Seeing a huge lapse on their account, NSE quickly tried to do some damage control and released an official apology to their followers for the inconvenience caused. They even gave a justification on this blooper, stating that it was a human error from the agency’s side and their account was not hacked. The apology statement read, 'Today there was an unwanted post on NSE handle at 12:25 p.m. It was a human error made by the agency handling NSE account and there was no hacking. Our sincere apologies to our followers for the inconvenience caused.' =However, even after they issued the apology, many couldn’t get over this damage as they called it a ‘perfect error'. Among many, one commented, 'Same guy handles social media for both NSE and Pinkvilla. Damn that's two extremes of the spectrum.' While another one wrote, 'Isse sexy mistake mene aaj tak nhi dekhi. Mistake karna to koi NSE se seekhe.'
Mouni's last theatrical release was Rajkummar Rao-starrer Made In China. Last year, she featured in a spy thriller titled London Confidential, which released on ZEE5.
She will now be seen as an antagonist in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra, featuring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor as the lead couple. Talking about working with Amitabh Bachchan in Brahmastra, Mouni had told Mumbai Mirror in an interview, 'It was surreal. I was like this little puppy who was just excited to see him and didn’t know what to do and after giving a shot with him I could have happily died. Who would have imagined that a girl from Cooch Behar would be sharing the screen with Amitabh Bachchan'.
