Mumbai: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan passed away last year on April 29. The ‘Angrezi Medium’ actor succumbed to colon infection at the age of 53. Ever since his death, his family members and fans have been remembering him with throwback memories.
Irrfan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar shared a throwback video of ‘The Namesake’ actor when he was unwell and shooting for his film ‘Angrezi Medium’ in London. The late actor can be seen reading a book in his vanity van as others are playing cards.

While sharing the video, Sutapa penned down a heartfelt note for the actor and wrote, “Three years ago with irrfan's team in London shooting.he wasn't well this particular day but who can tell..hated playing cards but tirelessly witnessed reading his book and saw us playing even in the makeup van.i crave for your indulgences Irrfan#shootingwaits #AngreziMedium#wivesenjoying#imissyou”.
‘Angrezi Medium’ marked Irrfan Khan’s last on-screen appearance. The film released a month before his death on March 12, 2020, but couldn’t run long in theatres due to the outbreak of the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic. The movie featured Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan in the lead roles. It also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Dimple Kapadia in pivotal roles.
Irrfan’s elder son Babil Khan, who is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Anushka Sharma’s Netflix production ‘Qala’ opposite ‘Bulbbul’ star Tripti Dimri, shared a post for his father and wrote, “I’ve been working so hard man, wish you were here to witness.”
Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour (NET) in 2018 and underwent chemotherapy and treatment in the US.
