Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput and comedian Bharti Singh’s former manager Disha Salian committed suicide by jumping from the 14th floor of a building in Malvani, Malad. She also managed Varun Sharma, who is fondly known for his role of Chucha in ‘Fukrey’. The incident took place on Monday (June 8) at 1am. Disha was rushed to a hospital in Mumbai’s Borivali, where she was declared dead.


Disha Salian committed suicide by jumping from the flat of a building in Jan Kalyan Nagar, Malvani. The flat belongs to her fiancé Rohan Rai, who is an actor and model.

When ABP News contacted Malad’s Malvani Police, they said it looks like a suicide case and they are investigating the matter. Police officials have recorded Disha’s parents’ statement and they haven’t expressed any sort of doubt in it.

Mumbai Police's Zone 11 DCP Mohan Kumar Dahikar told ABP News, "The incident took place at 1.00 am. Apart from Disha Salian, her fiancé Rohan Rai and her common friends were also present in the flat. After eating food and drinking alcohol, Disha went to the bedroom and closed the door from inside. She then jumped off the room’s window.”

Dahikar didn’t divulge other details and said that the police is investigating the matter further.

We have also received the information that Disha and her fiancé Rohan were planning to get married soon. Rohan Rai has featured in several advertisements. He also played a key role in ZEE5’s web series ‘Bombers’.



When ABP News spoke to Bharti Singh over the phone, the talented comedian expressed her shock over Disha’s demise. “Disha was my manager eight years ago. She started managing me when I hosted the first season of ‘India’s Got Talent’. She worked with me for one-and-half to two years. Disha was a hard working and polite girl. She could never raise her voice while talking. Although, she was no longer my manager, we used to have a word or two. She would often ask about my well-being. I am surprised to know about her suicide. I wonder what made her take the drastic step.”

ABP News also tried to contact Varun Sharma but he was not available for a comment. The actor shared an emotional note for Disha Salian, which read: "Am at a loss of words . Speechless. Numb . It all looks unreal .So many memories. Such a lovely person and a dear friend . You always wore that smile everyday , and with such kindness you dealt with everything that came your way . You will be deeply missed.Prayers and Strength to the Family. I still can’t believe Disha you’re gone. Gone too Soon."



Disha was working with Bunty Sajdeh's Cornerstone Sport & Entertainment Limited. We also tried to contact Bunty for a comment but didn’t get a response from him.

Disha had previously worked with the celebrity talent agency KWAN and other PR agencies.
