Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree’, which hit the silver screens on August 31, has set the cash registers jingling on its opening. The Amar Kaushik directorial is off to flying start and has collected Rs 6.82 on day one. The horror comedy has received rave reviews from the critics and it is reflecting in Stree day one box office collection. Critics have lauded the film for his crispy storyline and brilliant performances of all the actors.

‘Stree’, produced under the banner of Maddock Films and D2RFilms, has managed to surpass the expectations of trade pundits. The strong mouth of word publicity has helped the film do so well on its first day.

Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Stree box office collection on Twitter. He wrote, ‘’When numbers do the talking... #Stree surpasses the expectations and estimations and posts a SUPERB number on Day 1... Biz is expected to multiply over the weekend... Fri ₹ 6.82 cr. India biz... Hugely positive word of mouth has translated into BO numbers.’’


‘Stree’, despite competition from ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se’, did good business on the opening day. The movie is a laughter riot and fans have also given it thumbs up for making them scare and laugh at the same time.

The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurrana and Vijay Raaz in pivotal roles. Tripathi, who played the role of Rudra, has once again proved his acting prowess in ‘Stree’, taking away several brownie points.

This is just the beginning and 'Stree' is expected to continue the momentum and rake in big moolah at the box office.
