'Stree 2' is well on its way to becoming a blockbuster hit. While Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao have been winning accolades for their performances, another major character of 'Sarkata' has caught everyone's attention.


Who played the character of Sarkata in Stree 2?


Sarkata is the main antagonist in the horror-comedy Stree 2, turning upside down the lives of the people of Chanderi. The character was brought to life by Sunil Kumar, a towering figure at 7 feet 6 inches tall, often referred to as "The Great Khali of Jammu."


Director Amar Kaushik, in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama, revealed, "The casting team found him. We wanted a man with such a height, and he fit the bill perfectly." According to reports, Sunil Kumar is a constable with the Jammu and Kashmir Police and also engages in wrestling.


Kaushik also shared that while Sunil Kumar's body was used for the role, Sarkata's face was created using CGI.


 



Stree 2 Box Office Collection


Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is smashing records left and right. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 55 crore (early estimates) on Sunday, bringing its total to Rs 190 crore at the box office.‘Stree 2’, the latest movie in Amar Kaushik's Maddock Supernatural Universe, has been performing well at the box office. The movie earned an estimated Rs 223.57 crore net in India on its opening Monday, with a slight drop in revenue estimated by Sacnilk.com. 


It has already surpassed Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s 'Fighter' in just six days. The film is on track to surpass the Hindi collections of Prabhas’ 'Kalki 2898 AD' and is poised to become the biggest blockbuster of 2024.

'Stree 2' follows the main characters from the first film as they face a new threat—a ghost with only a head, fittingly named Sarkata.


This film is part of producer Dinesh Vijan's horror-comedy universe, which also includes titles like 'Bhediya' and 'Munjya'.
