New Delhi: Although their on-screen union in Dunki is still months away, Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani have already begun to get along because of another project, Jawan. Shah Rukh has disclosed that the Dunki filmmaker was the first to contact him following the release of the Jawan trailer online.

Shah Rukh is the star of the mass action blockbuster Jawan, which is being directed by Atlee, who is best known for the massively successful Tamil films Theri, Mersal, and Bigil. The movie's teaser was unveiled on Thursday to enthusiastic reviews, and Hirani shared these sentiments.

Shah Rukh Khan, who is leaving no stone unturned to promote his upcoming film 'Jawan', conducted an Ask SRK session on Sunday. On being asked by a fan about Rajkumar Hirani's reaction to 'Jawan' trailer, SRK said that the filmmaker has seen parts of the film as well and he really 'liked' it.

SRK wrote, "Raju sir loved it!! First one to send me a message and I have shown him parts of the film too and he really likes it. He has been very supportive. #Jawan"

'Jawan' is all set to hit thetares worldwide on September 7. Shah Rukh Khan will reportedly play both a father and a son in the film. The trailer shows the actor playing different roles in the film, including that of an army officer and a police officer.

When a fan saw him in the role of a police officer in the Jawan trailer and asked how he felt, SRK replied, "proud," adding that he hoped the nation's police officers would recognise his contribution. He wrote, "Very proud!! Hope the policemen who do such amazing service for the country appreciate it. #Jawan”

A twitter fan asked the actor how he would sum up the three characters in Jawan, Main Hoon Na, and his TV show Army in one word after sharing a collage of images of him from each. "Upright, Honest, and Patriotic," proclaimed SRK.

Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover are among the ensemble players in the movie. Jawan, backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and starring Deepika Padukone in a cameo, is slated for release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on September 7.
