Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal, who is currently basking in the super-success of his latest release 'Uri: The Surgical Strike', is now all set to play the role of freedom fighter Udham Singh in his biopic titled 'Sardar Udham Singh'. To be directed by 'Vicky Donor' and 'Piku' fame Shoojit Sircar, Vicky Kaushal is currently shooting for the biopic in St Petersburg, Russia. The first look of Vicky Kaushal in and as 'Sardar Udham Singh' got released today (30th April).

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account and shared Vicky Kaushal's first look from the much-awaited biopic. He tweeted, "Here's the first look... Vicky Kaushal in and as #SardarUdhamSingh... Directed by Shoojit Sircar... Written by Ritesh Shah and Shubendu Bhattacharya... Produced by Ronnie Lahiri and Sheel Kumar... 2020 release."

Vicky Kaushal's intensity, anger and the mark on his face make the first look intriguing.

Releasing in 2020, 'Sardar Udham Singh' is written by Ritesh Shah and Shubendu Bhattacharya.

On a related note, the revolutionary Udham Singh assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, the former Lieutenant Governor of Punjab in British India in 1940, to avenge the 1919 massacre.

On the career front, Vicky Kaushal also has films like Karan Johar's 'Takht' and an untitled horror film in his kitty. Apart from them, he is also in the running to replace Shah Rukh Khan in astronaut Rakesh Sharma's biopic reportedly titled 'Saare Jahaan Se Acha'.
