New Delhi: Ajay Devgn is currently promoting his upcoming film 'Bholaa'. The actor along with Tabu recently appeared on 'The Kapil Sharma Show' where he spoke about 'RRR's Oscar win to the comedian-actor. When Kapil Sharma congratulated Ajay Devgn for RRR win, Ajay Devgn jokingly claimed that the film got an Oscar because of him.
'Naatu Naatu' won an Oscar for the Best Original Song category. The song sequence was a highlight from 'RRR' and the song appealed to the international audiences a lot.
Kapil siad, "RRR ke Naatu Naatu gaane ko Oscar mila hai, bahut bahut badai. Aap bhi uss film ka part rahe hain.” To this, Ajay Devgn replied, "RRR ko jo Oscar mila hai meri vajah se hi mila hai, agar maine us gaane mein naach lia hota toh..." This left everyone in splits.
Ajay Devgn had done a small cameo in 'RRR' where he portrayed the role of Ram Charan's character's father. Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt were among the two Bollywood celebs who were part of the film.
At the India Today Conclave, Ram Charan had revealed that he was ready to perform Naatu Naatu at the Oscars. "I was ready. I was 100 percent ready to get that call. But I don’t know what happened. The trope did a better job than us. We have done that for so many interviews. It is now time for us to relax,” he added.
Ajay Devgn's upcoming film 'Bholaa' is a Hindi adaptation of Tamil hit film 'Kaithi'.The action thriller has also been directed and produced by Ajay Devgn. It stars Ajay Devgn in the titular role alongside Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles.Amala Paul and Abhishek Bachchan will also be seen in special appearances in the film.
'Bholaa' is slated to be released theatrically on March 30, 2023.
