New Delhi: The much-anticipated action thriller ‘Pathaan’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, was given an order by the Delhi High Court to make alterations to the film before its OTT release. It's expected that the film will debut on Amazon Prime Video on April 25, 2023.
In order to ensure that the OTT release of ‘Pathaan’ is accessible to those with visual and auditory impairments, the Delhi High Court reportedly requested that the film's creators include Hindi subtitles, closed captions, and audio descriptions.
Bar & Bench sent the following tweet: "The court therefore directed the producers to submit the close-captioning, subtitles, and audio description to CBFC for the movie's OTT release by February 20. The CBFC will take a decision on the same by March 10. The movie is set to release on Prime Video on April 25."
Four years of anticipation will finally be over next week. ‘Pathaan’ will open in theatres on January 25, 2023, and Shah Rukh Khan fans are losing their minds over it. In the film directed by Siddharth Anand, Deepika Padukone portrays the female protagonist, while John Abraham plays the primary antagonist.
‘Pathaan’ was filmed on location in a wide variety of international locations, including India, Afghanistan, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Russia, Italy, and France.
Meanwhile, the first song of the film, ‘Besharam Rang’ drew a lot of controversy because of the saffron colour bikini sported by Deepika in the song. The Hindutva activists across the country have raised objections to the dance sequence where Shah Rukh Khan is wearing a green colour shirt and Deepika is flaunting a saffron outfit.
