Mumbai: Neeraj Chopra created history by clinching the gold medal in Javelin Throw at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. It was a proud moment from the entire country as Neeraj secured India's first medal in Track and Field event. Social media is flooded with congratulatory messages from the commoners and celebrities. Several Bollywood stars including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Raveena Tandon took to Twitter to shower Neeraj with praises.
Akshay, who is gearing up for the release of ‘BellBottom’, congratulated Chopra for adding another feather in his cap. The ‘Sooryavanshi’ star tweeted, “It’s a GOLD. Heartiest Congratulations. @Neeraj_chopra1 on creating history. You’re responsible for a billion tears of joy! Well done #NeerajChopra! #Tokyo2020.”

Neeraj Chopra is the second Indian after Abhinav Bindra to secure a gold medal in a singles event in Olympics. The Haryana boy, who is trending on social media since claiming gold, dedicated his victory to late sprinter Milkha Singh.
