‘Mardaani 2’, which is the sequel of ‘Mardaani’, maintained a good grip on its seventh day at the box office. The Gopi Puthran directorial minted Rs 2.15 crore on Thursday, to take the total earnings to Rs 28.05 crore.
Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the first week collection of ‘Mardaani 2’ on Twitter. He mentioned that the business was affected in few circuits since the past few days.
“#Mardaani2 packs a punch in Week 1... Records higher *Week 1* biz than #Hichki and #Mardaani... Fri 3.80 cr, Sat 6.55 cr, Sun 7.80 cr, Mon 2.85 cr, Tue 2.65 cr, Wed 2.25 cr, Thu 2.15 cr. Total: ₹ 28.05 cr. #India biz... Biz affected in some circuits since few days,” Adarsh tweeted.
‘Mardaani 2’, which released across 1600 screens in its first week, is running in 750-800 screens in the second week. The film has surpassed the earnings of Rani Mukerji’s previous release ‘Hichki’. The Siddharth P Malhotra directorial had collected Rs 26.10 crore in the first week.

‘Mardaani 2’ received rave reviews from the critics for its gripping narrative and compelling performances. The film’s antagonist Vishal Jethwa emerged as the surprise package.
Rani Mukerji reprised her role of SSP Shivani Shivaji Roy in the sequel, who is on a mission to nab a serial rapist.
Talking about box office battle, Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg 3’ has hit the silver screens on Friday (December 20). The action drama is expected to affect the business of ‘Mardaani 2’.
