New Delhi: Various popular Bollywood celebrities including Rajkummar Rao, Sonam Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee and Kriti Sanon have condemned the attack on students and teachers by a mob at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi yesterday (5th December). Now, Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur too have reacted on the same and have condemned the violence in JNU at the trailer launch of their upcoming release 'Malang' co-starring Disha Patani and Kunal Kemmu.

Reacting on the same at the event, Anil Kapoor said, "Every kind of violence should be condemned. Whatever I  saw was quite sad and shocking. I couldn't sleep the whole night thinking about what is happening. It should be condemned. Those who have committed this violence, should be punished."

'Malang' lead actor Aditya Roy Kapur too shared his thoughts about the recent violence in JNU and said, "There is no place in this country for this kind of violence and those who commit such atrocities must be punished."

For the uninitiated, several masked individuals thrashed students and teachers inside the campus with wooden and metal rods on Sunday. As per reports, at least 20 students were admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after the violence with severe injuries.

Coming back to 'Malang', the film is produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Northern Lights Entertainment’s Jay Shewakramani. Directed by Mohit Suri, 'Malang' is slated to release on 7th February.
