Can ‘Thalaivii’ Create Magic At Box Office?

Kangana’s last two films ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ and ‘Panga’ couldn’t set the cash registers jingling despite getting rave reviews from the critics. Several national multiplexes have decided not to screen the Hindi version of ‘Thalaivii’ due to the two-week window gap between the film’s theatrical and digital release. It remains to be seen if Ranaut’s new movie is able to set the box office on fire or not.

‘Thalaivii’ is based on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The highly anticipated flick co-starring Nassar and Bhagyashree is the third major Hindi film to release after the cinema halls were re-opened.  Akshay Kumar starrer ‘BellBottom’ and Amitabh Bachchan-Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Chehre’ had released last month after theatres were allowed to operate in several states.
