Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, who made his acting debut with YRF's 'Band Baaja Baaraat' opposite Anushka Sharma nine years ago, is all set to reunite with the banner once again with 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar'. As the film's title suggests, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing a Gujarati in 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' and the actor's first look from the film has left his fans excited. Now, the makers have announced the name of film's lead actress as well. South actress Shalini Pandey, who rose to fame after playing lead role in Vijay Devarakonda's 'Arjun Reddy', is confirmed to romance Ranveer in 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar'.


The talented actress, who wooed audience as 'Preethi' in 'Arjun Reddy', is making her big Bollywood debut with 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' which celebrates women empowerment. Apart from signing the much-awaited film, Shalini Pandey will also be managed by Yash Raj Films as a talent.


Speaking about making her Bollywood debut opposite Ranveer in 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar', Shalini says, "Being given the opportunity to be signed on as a talent and also being cast under the Yash Raj Films banner is truly any artist’s dream. I’ve been blessed with this huge chance to show my mettle in the Hindi film industry and I’m incredibly thankful for it. On a relayed note, YRF has launched many talented newcomers including Ranveer, Anushka Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar who have proved their mettle in the film industry and have established themselves as top stars. Now, it'll be interesting to see if Shalini Pandey will be able to make her presence felt in Bollywood or not.

Coming back to 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar', the film will helmed by debutant writer-director Divyang Thakkar. A humorous entertainer set in Gujarat, it is being produced by YRF's homegrown producer Maneesh Sharma, who also discovered Divyang.
