New Delhi: Popular singer Neha Kakkar slammed comedians Gaurav Gera, Kiku Sharda, who mocked her height and body shape on a TV show. Gaurav and Kiku were performing an act for Sony MAX’s ‘Dr. Pran Lele’, which airs during movie breaks on the channel. The two comedians made fun of a short girl ‘Neha Shakkar’ over her size and jokingly called her ‘chota sa Bluetooth speaker’. They also joked about Neha’s song ‘Do Peg Maar’ while taking a dig at the girl (Neha Shakkar) in the segment.

The jokes didn’t go down well with Neha Kakkar, who lashed out at the comedians and called them out for creating ‘negative and insulting content’. The ‘Dilbar’ singer took to her Instagram story to post several messages and also express her displeasure over the segment. She said that she takes jokes sportingly and even appreciates comedy but she found this one ‘ridiculous’.

Shame on these people to create such a NEGATIVE and insulting content! My people know how much I appreciate comedy on me and otherwise but this one is Ridiculous!!! Stop using my name, Stop enjoying, dancing and acting on my songs if you hate me so much,” Neha wrote in her Instagram story.

Neha Kakkar’s brother Tony Kakkar also slammed the comic act for body shaming and mocking her talent. The singer shared the video from the segment on Instagram while supporting her sister. He also questioned the channel for airing the segment.

This is how you respect a small town girl who achieved everything on her own with so much struggle in life. Being a short girl My sister has already suffered a lot. Do you understand what a person goes through when you make fun about her/his body size or shape. Will you ever stop making fun of what god has made us ?

Not just that you are talking rubbish about her talent too. Aren’t you damaging her career by saying all that wrong things about her talent ? Those who don’t understand music much would believe you easily coz you are a big national tv Channel. Fact is nobody becomes number 1 just by fluke and that too of a country which has a population of 1.3 billion ???? #nehakakkar,” his post read.

Neha posted a note again on Thursday in which she thanked her fans and asked them to keep negativity at bay. She mentioned, “I was broken yesterday but Not Today.”

"I’m so lucky I have You All.That too in a Biggggggg Number. I would love you, respect you till my last breath My #NeHearts and Thank you for creating that Cutest Hashtag .#NehuHappyNeHeartsHappy. Good News for My NeHearts #PuchdaHiNahin Out Super Soon!!," the caption for the post read.
