New Delhi: The Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) gala was attended by many Indian fans, who tagged the author Tom Holland in their social media posts, assuming it's Hollywood actor Tom Holland's Twitter account.
Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in the Marvel universe, went to Mumbai on Friday with Zendaya, a co-star and girlfriend, to attend the NMACC grand opening weekend. Although Tom the author is verified on Twitter, the actor Tom is not, and he got tired of Indian fans thinking he was the actor.
The author shared a picture of Tom and Zendaya posing with Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Nita Ambani from a fan account, saying, "Please make it stop."
As the author of multiple award-winning books on Roman history, responses to Tom's appeal to Indian fans were rife with jokes and puns regarding the Spider-Man movies and that period of time.

The author then hilariously wrote, "Phew," as he hoped the spotlight would soon fade away after another tweet revealed that Tom and Zendaya had left the country on Monday.
The Marvel actor uses social media, but he has taken an indefinite Twitter hiatus. The actor has 7.2 million Twitter followers and 66.9 million Instagram followers. On Instagram, where he is more active, he posted his pictures from the NMACC event the next day.
