Ethan Hunt, an agent with the IMF, is back in the trailer to find a new weapon that poses a threat to all of humankind. Now, internet users are comparing the trailer's portions to the Shah Rukh Khan-starring movie 'Pathaan', which, when it was released, shattered all box office records for Hindi films.
There are several action-filled scenes in the trailer, including ones where Cruise is shown dangling from a cliff that reminded fans of SRK's spy thriller.
Several social media users immediately started comparing the two films on Twitter after the trailer's release.
