New Delhi: Bobby Deol is riding high on the success of 'Animal'. However, recently Bobby Deol in an interaction with Pinkvilla revealed that he could not sit through the entirety of Karan Johar's latest release 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani'. The Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh starrer had Bobby Deol's father Dharmendra in a key role.

In the interview with Pinkvilla, Bobby Deol said, "Wo character agar koi aur karta toh maza hi nahi ata. Papa made it magical. (If the father's character was played by some other actor, it wouldn't have been that interesting). Actually when I was watching the film, mereko kahaani nahi malum thi (When I was watching the film, I did not know the story), my dad's character dies in it, couldn't see the film. I was at Karan Johar's trial and I couldn't stop crying because my father somehow, I just couldn't handle it and I left and won't see the ending of the film."

“Because that's how we are, we love each other. We are a very connected family. I know he is playing a part but still. When I did Animal, my mum couldn't handle the death scene."

Dharmendra plays the amnesiac and wheelchair-bound man who plays Ranveer Singh's grandfather in the film. In 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani', Dharmendra plays the father to Aamir Bashir but dies shortly in the second half.

The ensemble cast includes Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly, Ksiti Jog, Aamir Bashir, Anjali Annad, Namit Das, and Abhinav Sharma.

'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani' collected Rs. 150 crore at the domestic box office across its runtime that lasted over a month.

Meanwhile, Bobby Deol was most recently seen in ‘Animal’ which has already crossed Rs. 480 cr at the box office. In the Sandeep Reddy Vanga film, Bobby Deol plays the arch nemesis to Ranbir Kapoor.
